After training in internal medicine, pediatrics, and epidemiology at the University of Tennessee and completing a hematology/oncology fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Scott has dedicated his career to improving care and outcomes for people with cancer by conducting research in oncology therapeutics and supportive care. His research interests include use of asparaginase, high-dose methotrexate, and targeted therapies like anti-GD2 antibodies, blinatumomab, and others. His efforts also include improving global access to essential medications and developing cancer programs in low- and middle-income countries. He serves as the International Development Officer for Hospital Sant Joan de Deu in Barcelona, Spain and in that role supports the hospital’s international research, global education, and inter-country patient care. He is also the deputy director of the Yeolyan Hematology-Oncology Center of Armenia with a focus on research capacity building and optimization of patient care processes. Scott founded Resonance (ResonanceHealth.org) to improve care for people everywhere through research, education, and technology. He has published 245 scientific papers, 25 book chapters, and a book.
